The Calibration Standards are a mix of known fatty acids common to those found in the microbial cell walls being analyzed for identification. The standards are used to monitor the health of the Gas Chromatograph before sample analysis and are required to set up the Standard Microbial Peak Naming Table, the Eukary Peak Naming Table and the FasTwo Peak Naming Table.
