In addition to the Sherlock System Software, operation of the Sherlock Microbial Identification System requires purchasing one or more fatty acid or DNA-Sequence-based databases (libraries) based on your requirements.  The Base Sherlock Software comes with the Aerobic Bacteria Library.  Sherlock DNA Sequence libraries require the Sherlock DNA software.

Standard/Rapid Aerobic Bacteria Library- Version 6.0
The Aerobe library contains over 695 Environmental 
species and 430 Clinical species.  

Standard/Sensi Anaerobic Bacteria Library- Version 6.0
The Anaerobe library contains 725 species. 

Standard/Sensi Yeast and Other Species- Version 6.0
This library contains 190 Yeast species.

Bioterrorism Library Version 3.0
The Sherlock Bioterrorism library identifies 6 major bacterial bioterrorism species and is both U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and FDA 510(k) cleared for confirmation of Bacillus anthracis (anthrax).

Sherlock DNA 16S Library
The 16S Library contains over 1,000 species of bacteria 
and mycobacteria.  

Sherlock DNA 28S Library
The 28S Library contains over 1,300 species of fungi / yeast.
