MIDI MICROBIAL IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM AND YEAR 2000 COMPLIANCE

MIDI has tested a variety of Microbial Identification System configurations for Year 2000 readiness. This testing included power off rollover into Jan. 1, 2000, power on rollover into Jan. 1, 2000, and running samples before, into, and in the year 2000, including on Feb. 29, 2000.

In all post-Pascal configurations that we tested, we did not experience loss in functionality or loss of data integrity running in the year 2000. We did discover 1 to 3 cosmetic date-related issues (depending on the configuration) that may or may not affect your laboratory. Details are posted in the specific configuration links below.

A Year 2000 compliant version of Sherlock is now available.

In any case, because your operational environment is different from our laboratory, especially regarding your computer operating system, you will need to test your system for Year 2000 compliance according to your company’s Year 2000 compliance criteria. If upgrading, you should also include some level of Year 2000 testing when qualifying your system.
